Benefit managers looking to get more training in wellness have a new option with an online program from the
The IWE Wellness Practitioner Network training and certification focuses on three roles: advocates, facilitators and coaches. Advocates can become certified through a 36-hour online course, facilitators can become certified through a 60-hour course and coaches can become certified through an eight- to 12-month course.
We wanted to build a course that could be as widely available to as many people as possible, says Dr. Deborah Teplow, CEO of IWE. Everybody can play a role in helping others improve their health and wellness.
The self-paced courses use video, brief quizzes and other methods to reinforce learning. Tuition for the wellness advocate courses starts at $495, with discounts for bulk purchases. The full wellness coaching program, meanwhile, is approximately $9,980.
