Last month, President Donald Trump nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals to fill the late-Justice Scalia’s seat on the United States Supreme Court. Human resources and benefits professionals, together with employment lawyers and employers generally, are looking to Gorsuch’s judicial record to better understand his approach to employment and labor cases on the Supreme Court.

Gorsuch takes a disciplined, cautious approach and rejects expansive views of employment laws and administrative agencies’ authority.
