Dan�Quan�is Senior Advisor to Director Richard Cordray at the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). He leads Project Catalyst, CFPB’s initiative to support innovators in creating consumer-friendly financial products and services. Serving as a bridge between Fintech startups and the CFPB,�Dan�focuses his work on identifying and promoting innovative technologies and business models that can help solve the most complex issues in consumer finance. Under his leadership, Project Catalyst has implemented and/or expanded the Office Hours Program, Research Pilot Program, Trial Disclosure Waiver Policy, and No Action Letter Policy. The public-private partnerships that the CFPB forged with American Express and H&R Block are expected to yield significant insight into consumer behavior and advance the CFPB’s policy agenda.�Dan’s strong relationship with the Fintech community has ensured that the CFPB is up to date with the lasted market trend and remains the thought leader on many disruptive Fintech developments.�Immediately before the CFPB,�Dan�was a Research Associate at Harvard Business School (HBS). He supported the consumer finance research work for Professor Peter Tufano, currently Dean of the Said Business School at the University of Oxford.�Dan’s interest in research continued after he left HBS. He was a key contributor to the HBS report: Competitiveness At A Crossroads.�Dan�started his career as a management consultant, helping Fortune 500 companies manage asset and liability risks posed by their pension plans.Dan�is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
