David Tyrie is Managing Director and head of Personal Retirement Services at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Tyrie is responsible for the delivery of personal retirement solutions in partnership with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Institutional Retirement, Merrill Edge and the Bank of America Consumer Bank, including retirement income solutions, IRAs and rollover processes, employee advice solutions, 529 plan products, and overall retirement education, planning and product innovation.Prior to joining Bank of America, Tyrie served as Managing Director, Global Products and Marketing for Putnam Investments. In this role, he was responsible for product management and marketing within Putnams Retirement Services business, including 401(k), Taft Hartley, IRA rollover, brokerage and investment only business lines. Prior to this role, Tyrie served as a Managing Director of Putnams Corporate Internet Strategy, responsible for the development and implementation of advanced product and service delivery and digital strategies.Before joining Putnam in 1999, Tyrie served in various leadership roles at Fidelity Investments and MFS Investment Management. Throughout his career he has worked closely with financial advisors to identify and address their clients individual retirement planning challenges.Tyrie is a trustee of Nashoba Brooks School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. Lawrence University.
