Dorian Pyle is founder, inventor and chief scientist of Powerhouse Technologies Inc. (PTI). He is an internationally recognized authority in the field of data mining and analytics, with more than 25 years of experience. He has applied his analytics expertise while working at companies such as Data Miners, Knowledge Stream Partners, Xchange, Naviant and Thinking Machines. His first book, Data Preparation for Data Mining, is the industry-standard work on the subject. His second book, Business Modeling and Data Mining, was published in 2003 and is being translated into Chinese. Both books are consistently in the top 10 of best-selling data mining books on Amazon. He served as the exhibits chair and KDD Cup judge for SIGKDD 2000 and was invited to serve on the program committee for SIGKDD 2003 and 2004. Pyle was invited to contribute a chapter to Handbook of Data Mining (2003) and Smart Adaptive Systems (2005).
