Douglas J. Kilcommons is a senior director in Fitch Ratings U.S. public finance group. Doug is the manager of the higher education sector, which includes public and private colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and the not-for-profit sector that generally includes foundations, cultural institutions, and service organizations. Doug previously served as a senior analytic member of Fitchs transportation team responsible for a portfolio of airport, seaport, and toll road credits. Prior to joining Fitch in 2003, Doug was the lead fixed income analyst for Neuberger Bermans closed end municipal bond mutual funds, working across a host of taxable and tax-exempt sectors. He also worked for Radian Asset Assurance within the risk management group covering higher education and healthcare. Doug began his career at Standard & Poors, where he primarily analyzed higher education credits within the municipal enterprise group.Doug graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a BS in finance and holds an MBA from Pace University. He is an active member of both the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Municipal Analysts Group of New York.
