Elizabeth McClure is the 2014 secretary of the Electronic Signature and Records Association (ESRA), the premier the premier global trade association focused on the advancement of electronic signatures and records.� She is general counsel and corporate secretary for Baltimore-based eOriginal, a provider of electronic signature and asset management solutions.McClure provides legal advice and counsel to the board of directors and company executives, as well as manages its intellectual property portfolio of patents, trademarks and copyright registrations. She has been with eOriginal for 14 years, beginning as assistant general counsel. She has brought an extensive background in both licensing on demand and on premises software solutions and in the impact of privacy compliance on technology company operations.McClure also served as general counsel with Chesapeake System Solutions, Inc., a company offering financial reconciliation, unclaimed property compliance, commercial bank account analysis, and corporate treasury software solutions. In her role, she focused on coordination of contract management and compliance from prospect generation through termination or expiration, and successfully negotiated high-value enterprise and SaaS agreements with multinational corporations.McClure was also an associate of Bowie & Jensen, LLC, a law firm specializing in meeting the transactional needs of privately-held, small- to medium-sized technology companies. There she focused on technology licensing and services agreements, compliance with privacy laws and regulations such as HIPAA and GLB, and prosecuting trademark applications for registration.McClure is a member of the American Bar Association and the Maryland Bar Association. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in finance and Bachelor of Science degree in international business Phi Beta Kappa from University of Maryland College Park, and her Juris Doctor with Honors from University of Maryland School of Law.
