Ray Boshara

Director, Center for Household Financial Stability

Ray Boshara directs the Center for Household Financial Stability at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Before joining the Fed in April 2011, Boshara was vice president of the New America Foundation, a D.C.-based think tank. Over the last 20 years, he has advised leading policymakers in the U.S. and worldwide on asset-building policies, including testifying before the U.S. Congress several times. Boshara has written for The Washington Post and The New York Times, and regularly appears on national media shows. His book, The Next Progressive Era, was published in 2009. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, Yale Divinity School, and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
