Robert C. Smith, CPA

CEO

Robert is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of The Federal Contractor Services Network. He holds a CPA certificate in both Maryland and West Virginia, and also holds a Masters Degree in Taxation from George Mason University. He has over 15 years of public accounting experience, and also has served as Chief Financial Officer for a Department of Defense government contractor and for a local Board of Education. The Federal Contractor Services Network has offered software, training and support since 2003. FCSN developed ICAT, the Indirect Cost Allocation Tool for Quickbooks. ICAT provides the functionality for computing indirect rates and allocating indirect costs to contracts. This critical requirement for determining the government’s obligation for reimbursing costs to the contractor enables government contractors using QuickBooks to successfully pass the DCAA accounting system review. Passing the DCAA accounting system review is a critical step towards qualifying for valuable Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee type contracts.
