Tom Spiggle

Founder, Spiggle Law Firm
Tom Spieggle
In 2009, Tom Spiggle founded the Spiggle Law Firm, which has offices in Arlington, Va.; Washington, D.C.; and Bethesda, Md., to help individuals facing difficult workplace issues. The firm focuses on employment law, helping protect the rights of workers facing discrimination including pay inequality, sexual harassment and wrongful termination in the workplace.

Although Spiggle Law represents employees in many different matters, Tom has a soft spot for those who suffer from discrimination solely because they are pregnant or have family-care issues, like caring for a sick child or an elderly parent.

Tom has tried over twenty cases to verdict, including a civil rights case victory that resulted in a six-figure punitive damages award against the defendant. He has also obtained significant settlements for clients without ever having to set foot in a courthouse.

Before starting the Spiggle Law Firm, he worked as a legislative assistant to Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey in the U.S. House of Representatives, held positions at several private law firms and served as an Assistant United States Attorney. Tom is author of the book “You’re Pregnant? You’re Fired: Protecting Mothers, Fathers, and Other Caregivers in the Workplace.” He is a contributing writer for Forbes and is also regularly featured in top national media outlets providing legal commentary issues relating to discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination in the workplace.
