Al-Futtaim, KMD and Palfinger deploy SuccessFactors

Dubai conglomerate Al-Futtaim, Danish software provider KMD and Austrian crane maker Palfinger have just signed up to use the SuccessFactors human capital management suite, according to SAP.

SAP’s SuccessFactors cloud-based system handles payroll, time and attendance management, hiring, training, recruiting and onboarding, and training and development. About 6,200 companies are using SuccessFactors, SAP says.

There are a number of things that set SuccessFactors apart from other HCM offerings, says John Kostoulas, a research director at Gartner who is focused on human capital management technologies and processes. Among the system’s features he cites are “breadth and depth of functionality — particularly in the area of talent management; extensive global presence in terms of sales, implementation and support; investment in compliance-related capabilities to help customers meet increasingly complex country-specific data residence and privacy regulations; and, finally, options for customers to extend the application’s delivered capabilities without customization.”

Al-Futtaim, a large conglomerate comprised of automotive, retail and property development, engineering and technology businesses, will use SuccessFactors to help transform its facilities management, according to SAP. Software and IT services company KMD plans to use the SAP system to help recruit and onboard employees while equipment manufacturer Palfinger will use the suite to help simplify its global processes and drive productivity, according to the HCM vendor.
