Former Zenefits CEO Parker Conrad is making another foray into the human resources tech world, announcing this week a new startup that aims to help employers with onboarding, payroll and other tasks.
The company, called Rippling, launched a website that details its services to help companies automate the employee hiring and firing processes.
On its website, Rippling bills itself as a company that “automatically does the 100 little things that IT, HR, facilities, legal, finance, and employees have to do when joining, working at, or leaving a company—from buying a computer to running payroll.” Among those tasks: generating new employee offer letters and tax forms; configuring computers; setting up email accounts; providing keycards to an office building; and processing payroll.
Rippling’s software subscription service has three levels: a free version for businesses, a basic plan that costs $8 per employee per month, and a top-tier product that goes for $15 per employee per month, according to its website.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Conrad has raised $7 million for his new startup so far.
Many of Rippling’s services directly compete with Zenefits, the HR software company Conrad started in 2013 that shook up the industry. Conrad, however, resigned from the firm a year ago amid compliance concerns at the company.
