Published Updated 1 Min Read

More than half of Americans (55%) do not know the date by which they must purchase health insurance to comply with the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate provision, according to a Bankrate.com survey.

In response to a multiple-choice question about the deadline of March 31, 24% thought it was Jan. 1, 2014, 11% said Dec. 31, 2014, 2% said none of these and 18% didn’t know. Only 45% correctly identified the date.
