Unhappy employees are looking for new opportunities now that more organizations are ramping up their recruiting efforts — but some exceptional companies won’t have to worry about losing their best talent.

Workforce Logiq, a digital analytics company, recognized eight Fortune 100 companies for their commitment to employee retention, using AI analytics. The rankings were based on macroeconomic trends, leadership changes, company-level social media and news sentiment and job posting trends. The number of employers who receive the recognition varies every year, depending on how many companies achieve a winning score.

“The performance of this year’s Working Best winners is highly impressive given the rollercoaster impact the pandemic continues to have on the labor market,” said Jim Burke, CEO of Workforce Logiq, in a release. “Our proprietary data shows employees at the eight winning companies were six times less likely to look for external job opportunities compared to those at other Fortune 100 organizations.”

After a challenging year for both employers and job seekers, 82% of U.S. employers are confident that they’ll be able to ramp up hiring this year, according to a study by Monster, an online job board. Many of those employers are looking to refill positions lost to the pandemic, but 40% are planning to create brand-new roles.

Employers who don’t want to lose their best talent to these recruitment-focused companies should adopt employee retention strategies. Workforce Logiq’s research found that many employees are choosing to stay, or seek new opportunities, based on how their current employer is handling the pandemic.

“Worker expectations have shifted given the health crisis,” said Dr. Christy Petrosso, Workforce Logiq’s chief data scientist and talent economist, in a company blog. “Employees increasingly value safe, healthy, stable and supportive work environments — especially those with strong leadership who are able to navigate through such hyper-uncertainty.”
