Okay, I know the economy isn't exactly going like gangbusters, but there have been a few teeny glimmers of hope in recent weeks in stabilizing markets, rising home sales and moderating job losses. However, about half of us are still Negative Nellies, according to a recent survey from Stewart and Partners.
Some 45% of Americans think the economy has not yet hit bottom and will worsen, 32% say the economy is now trending upward and 20% say it is at the bottom right now, the poll reveals.
And just barely a quarter (27%) expect their own financial situation to be better off one year from now. Like I said, I know it's still tough out there -- believe me, I feel your pain. But just for today, let's be more Pooh than Eeyore. I mean it -- don't make me start saying things like, "The sun'll come out tomorrow."
