Saving for retirement is up to the individual

“If the U.S. continues its traditional expectations for individual responsibility, and support of family and community, rather than relying on government, we may not move up in these rankings but will continue to provide an exceptional standard of living, including for retirees.”

Retirement campaign needed

“America is complicated, and Americans are too busy dealing with non-essential issues (e.g. daily expenses). Someone needs to alert the general population that they may not have the choice to work in their advanced age. We all are living longer, using the majority of our resources to maintain our lifestyles (living above our means-another topic).

“A campaign similar to one for any critical medical concern must [be] created. This is not a ‘them’ issue unfortunately, it is a ‘we’ issue. We need to address it otherwise we will be paying for them!”

‘Properly communicated education is key’

“Properly communicated education is key. A well-educated and engaged employee is an employee who not only participates in year one, but the persistency rate of the life of the policy is typically many years consecutively. It all begins and ends with the educational component and the benefit brokers ability, or lack thereof, to secure ideal working and educational enrollment conditions.”
