Healthcare is a notoriously difficult industry, where the hours are often long and the stakes are high — but some employers make job seekers better offers than others.
U.S. News and World Report released its annual list of the best companies to work for by industry, rating healthcare companies based on pay, benefits, work-life balance, flexibility and job and company stability. U.S. News specifically looked at public companies in the Russell 1000 index as of June 2022 that had a minimum of 75 U.S.-based Glassdoor reviews, gathering data on benefits and general employee sentiments. Companies that made the list — including Johnson and Johnson, Lilly and Aligent — tended to offer benefits like paid caregiver leave, fertility assistance and child care help.
