Hospital offers employees e-consults

Casa Grande Regional Medical Center is offering its 3,000 employees and dependents online consultations with emergency physicians to address common, minor medical conditions.

The 187-bed community hospital, located in Arizona, has contracted with Stat Health Services. Employers or insurers pay the Scottsdale-based vendor a fee for each enrolled member. A consultation costs $50, which the employer/insurer may pay in whole or split with the member. Casa Grande will pay the consultation fee for its employees.

Consultations are conducted via phone, the phone and a website connection, or via web cams. Prescriptions if needed are electronically sent to the patient's pharmacy of choice.
