(Bloomberg) — The first yearly sign-up period for Obamacare closes today, with early returns suggesting the administration may reach a projection of 7 million enrollees made before the U.S. health exchange struggled at its startup.
Separately, on deadline day, Healthcare.gov had an extended maintenance period that lasted until 9 a.m. EDT, POLITICO reported. The newspaper reports that Department of Health and Human Services officials said the problem was a software bug discovered overnight that was being repaired.
