Senator urges Sebelius to remove agent compensation from MLR rule

Louisiana Sen. Mary L. Landrieu urges Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to remove agent compensation from the medical loss ratio rule.

A letter written by Landrieu on Friday states that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will “ultimately lower costs and increase choices and stability for America’s small business, and make access to health care easier and more affordable. However, in moving towards implementation there are improvements we should consider.”
