While great management, work-life balance and culture matter to employees, compensation often makes or breaks an employee's willingness to stay with their employer.

To find the employers who understand this better than the rest, Comparably, a platform that measures corporate reputation data, ranked 100 companies with 500 or more employees on their compensation packages. After 20 million ratings rolled in from workers across the U.S. and Canada, Comparably had some clear winners, including Workday, Uber and Adobe.

The list goes beyond ranking which companies have the highest pay, and instead asks employees if they're being paid fairly, how often they receive raises and if they're satisfied with their benefits. Employees' compensation packages should prove just how valued they are, regardless of whether they are in the office or at home, underlines Chad Herring, chief human resources officer at ZoomInfo, Comparably's parent company.

"Beyond a competitive paycheck, does the package fairly motivate and reward the employee at the desk and the dinner table?" says Herring. "A workforce operates best when they're not just paid, but highly valued. If talent is the greatest asset to the company, then treat it the same reverence as the revenue it generates."

Comparably looked at participation in equity grant programs, bonus distributions and the regularity and generosity of raises, highlighting companies that took multiple opportunities to reward their workforce.

Here are 15 companies with the best compensation packages of 2023, with employees themselves anonymously vouching for the impact of their pay.
