Schneeweis joins Trustmark, Steenerson honored

The latest news on industry movers and shakers concerns one seasoned executive’s career move and a veteran disability insurance agent earning kudos for his staff from a leading carrier for a thirteenth consecutive year.

Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions has named David M. Schneeweis regional sales vice president for the carrier’s western region to develop broker distribution, strategy and sales.

Based in Englewood, Colo., he has 20 years of industry sales experience – most recently as vice president of sales for Assurant Employee Benefits. Trustmark, which specializes in payroll-deducted voluntary benefits that include life, critical illness, disability and accident plans, also offers benefit administration products and services.

Elsewhere, Standard Insurance Company recently awarded Daniel C. Steenerson and his agency, Disability Insurance Services, Inc., its Top National Disability Insurance Leadership Award. The honor coincides with his 30^th year in the business. The Standard offers a comprehensive product suite that includes disability, group life, accidental death and dismemberment, and dental and vision insurance.
