With financial stress rising, employers can offer these lifelines now

Employees have faced persistent financial stress throughout the year as the cost of living continues to rise, from the pricing of gas and groceries to housing and healthcare. At the same time, many workers lack the rainy-day savings needed to weather an unexpected expense.

Nearly 6 in 10 Americans (59%) don’t have enough savings to cover a $1,000 emergency, according to data from financial wellness company Canary.
