Unum teams with DMEC on upcoming forums

Be sure to mark your calendar for a series of online educational forums in 2011 on disability and absence management co-presented by two industry leaders.

The standout session from Unum and the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) – “Voluntary Benefits: Who Buys What and Why?” – will be held at 12 p.m. EDT on June 7. Unum researchers will provide key insights from a study defining employer benefit buying habits as part of their hour-long presentation, which will be followed by 30 minutes of questions from attendees.

Other notable presentations will include "Integrating Absence Management Programs: When and How Does It Really Pay Off? A Consultant’s Roundtable" on March 8 and "Protecting Productivity: The Impact of Transitional Work in the Current Economic Environment: An Empirical Study" on Oct. 11.

"Given the convenient and virtual format, it is an easy and cost-effective way to meet ongoing educational needs," according to DMEC CEO Marcia Carruthers.
