Five for Fido: The top dog-friendly companies

I’m definitely a dog person; to be honest, cats kind of give me the creeps. That said, I’m not sure I’d be super excited to work at a company that allowed employees to have their dogs at work.

I know, research shows that dogs in the workplace make employees happier and more productive, but I’d worry about my purse getting chewed or my lunch getting eaten by a hungry pooch.

But not everybody has my hang-ups. According to a recent report in the Christian Science Monitor, some 17% of you allow dogs in the office. If you’re looking to join the ranks, CSM lists the top five dog-friendly companies:

1. Google
2. American Humane Association
3. PrintingForLess.com
4. Autodesk
5. Amazon.com

Do you allow dogs (and/or cats) in the workplace? If so, what have been the results on worker morale and productivity, as well as absconded lunches? Share your thoughts in the comments.
