(Bloomberg) — The Affordable Care Act is overcoming its initial problems and is making progress in accomplishing its mission of expanding and improving coverage, New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan said.

“I’m an optimist about it,” Hassan, a Democrat, said on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” which aired this weekend. “It’s about getting coverage, because we all know that a healthy population creates a healthy workforce and a healthy economy, because people will have access to primary and preventive care, and that will bring costs down.”
