Vice President , Retained Portfolio Asset Management

Bob Ives is Fannie Mae�s Vice President and Head of Retained Portfolio Asset Management reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Ives is responsible for the management of loans and securities in the Retained Portfolio and is a key member of the team that developed the Connecticut Avenue Securities series of risk-sharing transactions. Prior to his appointment to Head of Retained Portfolio Asset Management, Ives was responsible for the trading of all structured mortgage products, including oversight of agency Real Estate Mortgage Investment Conduits, Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), and municipal assets.Before joining Fannie Mae in August 2004, Ives was a Senior Vice President, Asian Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) and Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) Research at Lehman Bros. Japan where he worked with clients in Asia to build and analyze U.S. securitized product portfolios including agency MBS and CMOs, auto, credit card and Home Equity Loans, ABS, and CMBS. Prior to that, he was Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Fidelity Investments. Before attending business school, he was on the technical staff at Mitre Corp. and at AT&T Bell Labs.Ives has a master of business administration in finance from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, a master of science in electrical engineering with focus on stochastic processes from Stanford University, and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
