Darrell T. (Tye) Hanna

CEO & President

Mr. Hanna is the CEO/President of Galaxy Asset Management which he co-founded in August of 2007.  Prior to Galaxy, Mr. Hanna joined the Worldwide companies in 1998 as VP of Operations for Worldwide Capital. In 2001 he became the President of Worldwide Asset Management LLC (WAM) and National Asset Management Enterprises, Inc. (NAM). Under Mr. Hanna’s leadership Worldwide Asset Management, which was a start-up operation focused on collection and debt purchasing, grew to a company with over 900 employees and revenues in excess of $100 million.  In 2004 WAM and NAM sold to West Corporation for approximately $180 million.From 2004 to 2006 Mr. Hanna assumed the role of EVP of Debt Purchasing for West Asset Management.  Over the course of 5 years, (2001-2006) Mr. Hanna was responsible for the purchase of over $6 billion in consumer receivables. Prior to joining the Worldwide Companies, Mr. Hanna was at Cox Enterprises (1991-1998) as the Director of Financial Reporting/Assistant Controller for Cox Radio where he was responsible for financial reporting, accounting, and acquisition due diligence. Upon graduating from college, Mr. Hanna was a senior auditor with Ernst & Young (1988-1991) with a focus on small to medium business operations. Mr. Hanna is an honors graduate of the University of Florida’s Fisher School of Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
