In 1980 Louis Karol received his undergraduate degree "with distinction" from George�Washington University and in 1984 was awarded a J.D. degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School�of Law. In 1989, he received his L.L.M. degree in Taxation from the New York University School of�Law. Mr. Karol is also a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Karol is a member of the National Academy�of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc., a non-profit association which assists lawyers, bar organizations and others�who work with older clients and their families.Mr. Karol is licensed to practice law in New York and is a member of the New York State Bar�Association and its Section on Trusts and Estate Law. He is a member of both the American Institute�of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He�is also a former Board member of the Long Island Chapter of the Association of Financial Planning, a�member of a number of Charitable Giving Committees including The American Cancer Society and�Family Services Association and a member of the Nassau County Council on Estate Planning. Mr. Karol�is an Adjunct Professor at Long Island University - C.W. Post Campus. He is admitted to practice in the�United States Tax Court. Mr. Karol formerly served on the School Board of the East Williston Union�Free School District.Mr. Karol is a Board Member of One Liberty Properties, Inc., a publicly traded REIT with its�headquarters located in Great Neck, New York. Mr. Karol served on the Alumni Board of Advisors to�the School of Business of the George Washington University located in Washington, DC.
