Michelle Shaffer, CPA has been a forward thinker in regulatory compliance initiatives for more than 15 years. Her experience working for Big 4 accounting firms (KPMG, Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen), implementing Sarbanes-Oxley regulations for public traded companies, as well as her expertise addressing audit and compliance issues specific to the consumer debt collection industry, bring a comprehensive approach to compliance challenges and ROI-building solutions. Ms. Shaffer was a charter member of NARCA�s Client Quality Standardization Committee. After serving as the Director of Financial Compliance at Encore Capital Group, also known as Midland Credit Management, Ms. Shaffer opened her own compliance consultancy, CARMA LLC, in 2012. Her outside the box thinking brings fresh ideas and cost-saving tools to the ARM industry.
