Rachel joined BECU in May 2014 and since then, she’s looked for ways to bring financial education and financial empowerment programs to life, while measure the impact on BECU members and the community. Rachel is currently leading efforts to pilot a Financial Health Check service that encourages BECU members to develop healthy savings habits. She’s also responsible for the team that manages BECU’s philanthropic giving, financial education, and community engagement. This year, the Community Outreach team is reprising ‘Closing for Good,’ an event that will close down the credit union for a day in October 2016 so that every BECU employee can help facilitate Financial Reality Fairs for ~3,000 students across the Puget Sound region.Rachel received her MBA from the University of Washington, her MLIS from San Jose State University, and her BS from Calvin College.
