Joseph Coughlin, Ph.D., leads the Massachusetts Institute of Technology AgeLab.

Researcher, teacher, speaker and advisor, Coughlin examines the market and societal implications of demographic change, consumer behavior and technology trends across the generations. He is author of "The Longevity Economy: Unlocking The World's Fastest-Growing, Most Misunderstood Market" (Public Affairs, 2017), and his latest book with MIT AgeLab colleague Luke Yoquinto is "Longevity Hubs: Regional Innovation for Global Aging" (MIT Press, 2024).
