The six-week postpartum visit is critical. It's the shift from pregnancy care to care for a mother's long term health and provides a comprehensive check of a patient's physical and emotional wellbeing. This helps patients catch health issues, like perinatal mental health and anxiety disorders early. But the reality is that, nationally, only 60% of women even attend their postpartum visit, and those rates are lower for women of color and Medicaid or CHIP beneficiaries.

In this study, awarded by the HHS Racial Equity in Postpartum Care Challenge, Ovia shares how we were able to increase postpartum visit attendance and PMAD screenings for working parents, especially for women of color.
