While musculoskeletal (MSK) pain is prevalent across the board, it is concerning to note that underrepresented and underserved populations tend to experience worse health outcomes compared to their counterparts. This disparity is further exacerbated by a lack of diversity and cultural sensitivity among their care providers. Unaddressed, these health disparities will result in an increased prevalence of MSK disorders, diminished productivity, and a lower quality of life for employees. Moreover, employers and health plans will face higher costs associated with these health issues.
