As Director of Mobility and New Digital Business Technologies, Chad Ballard is responsible for the technology strategy, design and development of the Consumer, Small Business and Commercial mobility solutions for BBVA Compass. Ballard also oversees the strategy, design and development of new digital business technologies, which includes responsibility for the “Banking as a Service” platform for BBVA Compass and integration, and technology management of digital partnerships and strategic acquisitions. He also counts the development of new digital business models among his responsibilities.Ballard has led the Digital Transformation program since its 2010 inception, developing online and mobility platforms for Consumer and Small Business customers, and a new Digital Sales Origination platform. This new platform has included development of a multi-channel architecture and key real-time features to include CRM, Payments, Transfers, Alerts, Mobile Remote Capture and Innovative Digital Products such as NBA Banking that further enhanced the ability for nationwide product sales. In 2013 and 2014, BBVA Compass won the Best in Mobile Functionality Award from Javelin Strategy & Research and in it was given top nod by Money magazine for best mobile app in its annual Best Banks in America 2015 feature.Ballard started with the bank in June 2002 and has held various leadership positions within the IT division, including as Business Partner for Retail Banking and Business Development & Shared Services and prior roles as Business Partner for Finance, Risk and Informational lines of business.Before joining BBVA Compass, Ballard held development and project lead roles for five years within the Financial and Healthcare industries.�Education:Ballard earned a bachelor’s in Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham
