When Lindsey Garito, assistant vice president of total rewards at Montefiore Einstein, wanted to improve health and wellness for the hospital system's 40,000-plus employees, she didn't just tweak communication or bring in a new benefit; she and her team created and implemented the HealthyME program, "a unified well-being brand and experience to support employees and their families," Garito said.

The program gives employees easy access to resources and their benefits in areas of physical, mental and financial wellness.

"We embedded our HealthyME brand across every touchpoint, establishing a recognizable and cohesive identity that connects employees to their benefits through a centralized digital front door," she continued. "By bringing together our benefits platform, communications, and support model under HealthyME, we created a more intuitive, engaging and human-centered experience. Employees no longer navigate multiple disconnected systems — they interact with a seamless, branded ecosystem that is designed to help them feel supported, energized, empowered and connected."

The program was honored by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals with a 2026 Gold Hermes Creative Award in the Strategic and Integrated Campaigns category for employer branding, highlighting the program's strong design, messaging and engagement strategy, according to a post from the company.

"How we educate, engage, and empower [our employees] is some of our most important work," Garito said. "In such rapidly changing times, staying on top of market trends, economic shifts, and technology is imperative. The work is never done, and there are always opportunities to optimize how we support the health and well-being of our people."

Garito is looking forward to building upon the foundation of HealthyME, and further enhancing access, utilization and the value of Montefiore's benefits programs.

"Our team's primary goal is to continue evolving our total rewards into a strategic driver of employee engagement, well-being, and organizational performance," she said. "A key focus is expanding the use of data and insights to inform decision-making. By leveraging analytics, employee feedback, and data, we aim to continuously refine our offerings and ensure they meet the diverse needs of our workforce."

Lindsey will be honored at EBN's Benefits at Work conference in September, which you can learn more about here.
