Cleveland Clinic CEO gets dishy on health care

Just further proving that I’m a bit of a nerd, I read Fortune magazine’s Q&A with Dr. Delos Cosgrove — renowned cardiac surgeon and CEO of the cost-defying Cleveland Clinic — like someone else might read a celeb interview in Us Weekly.

And while Dr. Cosgrove doesn’t provide any tips on regaining your post-baby body or offer any scoop on who’s dating/split up/in rehab, I assure you, this interview is a good ‘un.

In his talk with Fortune’s Geoff Colvin, Cosgrove spills the nation’s “dirty little secret” about health care, posits that perhaps half the adult population will be obese by  2030 and shares just how it is that Cleveland Clinic has stayed on top of its game regarding outcomes and cost-efficiency for more than a decade.
