When interviewing for a new job, tension can be high. Typical ways candidates show their nerves are through averted eye contact or fidgeting with jewelry. Careerbuilder surveyed close to 2,200 hiring managers and created this list of the most bizarre behavior they've seen during job interviews.

1. Writing utensils
Someone brought 50 pens to the interview and spread them out on the table.

2. Secret pooch
A candidate brought a duffel bag with him and kept fidgeting and repositioning it. There was a dog inside the bag.

"You can call me Tigger!" a candidate said after offering his real name. "That is the nickname I gave myself."
