And the i-COMM Award goes to …

In real estate, it’s all about location, location, location. In benefits, it’s all about communication, communication, communication. And when it comes to communication, this year’s i-COMM Award winners are among the best in the biz.

This is the third year for EBN’s i-COMMs, which annually honor the best in internal communication campaigns.  I can say first-hand that this was by far the most competitive crop of nominees. I pored over the nominations carefully and it literally took me days to decide how to vote. So, it’s with especially hearty congrats that I announce the 2010 i-COMM honorees:

Best Print or E-newsletter Design & Usability
Lynn Zehnder
Vice President of Benefits, Compensation & HRIS
U.S. Foodservice Inc.
Rosemont, Ill.

Best Training Program
Lita Weinstein
Director of Benefits
Douglas County School District
Castle Rock, Colo.

Most Innovative Benefit Offering(s) or Internal Company Initiative
Colleen Dame
Manager of Health and Wellness Benefits
Chesapeake Energy
Oklahoma City, Okla.

Best Web or Intranet Design & Usability
Rebecca Vanlandingham
Benefits Compliance and Communications
Gerdau Ameristeel US Inc.
Tampa, Fla.

Like this year’s Benny Award winners, the i-COMM honorees will be profiled in the Sept. 15 EBN, and will be presented their awards at EBN’s 23rd annual Benefits Forum & Expo, to be held Sept. 26-28 at the Boca Raton Resort in Boca Raton, Fla.

Congratulations again to the winners and my sincere thanks to all who were nominated.
