Are 401(k) plans a failed experiment?

The 401(k) plan is “certainly under attack,” Brian Graff, executive director and CEO of ASPPA, told attendees. He made his remarks as moderator of a panel discussion that addressed whether 401(k) plans are failed experiment. And while no one agreed the 40(k) system is a failure, there were differing views on how successful it’s been.

Protect my piggy

Over 120 exhibitors gathered in the exhibit hall under banners promoting ASPPA’s Save My 401(k) campaign, a grassroots campaign to protect the tax incentives of employer-sponsored retirement plans from the threat of tax reform. Its goal is to educate members of Congress and urge them to preserve the 401(k) tax incentives.
