A majority of people side with the plaintiffs in the case who are challenging the legality of tax credits allowed to purchase health insurance through the federally facilitated marketplace according to a survey of 1,000 likely voters who live in states that use the federal marketplace as well as Colorado and Nevada. The poll was released this week by Independent Womens Voice, which commissioned Wilson Perkins Allen Research to conduct the survey.

Most people side with the plaintiffs
After learning more about the case, 59% said they side with the plaintiffs four Virginia residents 25% support the government and 16% were unsure.

Assistance needed if subsidies ruled invalid
If the Supreme Court rules against the tax credits and millions of people lose those subsidies, three-fourths of Americans said its very or somewhat important transitional support is provided.

States trusted over Obama, Congress
Half of those surveyed said they trust the states over President Obama (29%) and Congress (12%) to offer a solution should the subsidies go away for millions of Americans.
