Michael (Mike) Estep is head of product & underwriting for group insurance, a business unit of Prudential Financial, Inc., which produces and distributes a full range of group life, disability, voluntary and corporate- and trust-owned life insurance.
Estep has responsibility for product development, underwriting and P&L management for the entire portfolio of life, disability and voluntary products targeted at employees of large and medium-sized companies, banks and associations.
Estep joined Prudential in May 2022. Previously, he led the voluntary benefits business at Symetra. Earlier in his career, he led the product organization for Guardian Life Insurance and had accountability for product development and management for their complete line of products, including dental, vision, life, absence and voluntary benefits.
Estep holds a BA in business from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from DePaul University.
