'I will never give Zenefits a second of my time.’

Based on my decades of client experience with ADP and how Zenefits publicly responded to its dispute with ADP, I will never give Zenefits a second of my time when my company does its routine reviews of vendor services and relationships. The word that comes to mind is integrity and there has never been one work day when my dealings with ADP did not include the utmost integrity.

‘Anyone who treads on ADP's toes is a hero in my books.’

I've dealt with ADP at various times in my career and found their corporate culture to be obnoxious and bullying. I hate the way they used to swap their reps around; just about the time you get one broken in they would swap in some newbie fresh from ADP-boot camp who would sit across from me with a three ring binder and tell me all the things I had to comply with to get ADP to deign to service me. Anyone who treads on ADP's toes is a hero in my books.

I have no experience with Zenefits, so cannot comment on them. However, I have dealt with ADP on and off for over 20 years, and I have yet to have a positive experience with them. The word that comes to mind when I think of ADP is inflexible, in other words, their way or not at all.

‘Why would a broker work with CMS or its clients?’

CMS knows exactly how many brokers have completed the training and are assisting people enroll. Their estimate obviously includes any broker that simply told someone about the site. With so little compensation and little chance of doing additional business with someone needing a subsidy to buy their health care, why would a broker work with CMS or its clients?

'Getting control of all plan data is now something that is achievable and affordable for groups of all sizes.'

Technology, no matter how sophisticated, and applications, no matter what the purpose, rely on the employer plan having control of the data used by those technologies and applications. The oldest law of computing — GIGO, Garbage In Garbage Out — will always apply. The good news is that getting control of all plan data (external claims, enrollment and administrative files along with internal payroll and time) is now something that is achievable and affordable for groups of all sizes.
