If people don't know their numbers, it's their own fault
If people don't know their numbers, it's their own fault. Never in history has there been more monitoring and access to health info than today. For a consumer to answer a questionnaire saying they don't know their numbers and it's the fault of their plan/wellness program etc. is patently unfair.

Our primary goal is to make sure everyone understands their numbers
Our company uses a field staff of RN's and our primary goal is to make sure everyone understands their numbers obtained in their screening. We then develop plans to get their numbers in line for each individual that can benefit. We then follow-up with quarterly health coaching for those individuals.

How does your wellness vendor rate?
If [an] employer's wellness vendor is providing biometrics to employees, they should be receiving a report on their results. If they are not receiving their results, then they should fire the vendor and consultant who recommend them.

Do the knuckleheads in Washington even know why this issue would cause confusion?
One would think that if these two numbers had to differ it would be the HSA figure that would be higher not the other way around. That being said, there is no excuse for these two out-of-pocket maximums to be different. The timing is not an excuse, they should be made to match. You have to wonder if the knuckleheads in Washington who make these decisions even know why this issue would cause confusion.

Many people treating benefit plans like a commodity
I find that many people who've entered the industry in recent years have a focus on sales, treating benefit plans like a commodity, rather than paying attention to strategy, planning, and service.
