As COVID-19 initiated a shift to remote work, employees took a more robust look into their benefits during open enrollment periods, a trend that will continue in 2021.

Creating equality is about how benefits are presented, not just what is offered.

“The best training is doing,” says Tami Simon, corporate consulting leader for the employee benefits consulting firm Segal.

“There's a lot of different family journeys and people need support to get there,” says Paris Wallace, CEO of Ovia Health.

Turns out that if you’re a woman, how you sound may be a bigger concern on Zoom meetings than the kids barging in.
