As the labor force begins to make a comeback, job seekers are in desperate need of a little direction.

Comparably, a site dedicated to monitoring companies, helps prospective employees find their perfect fit by using anonymous employee feedback. The company compiled a list of the most in-demand employers based on their high rankings and reviews during the pandemic.

"Best Outlook highlights how confident employees feel about the future success of their companies and how likely they are to recommend working there to a friend," says Jason Nazar, CEO of Comparably. "Despite the unprecedented challenges of the past year, these organizations have remained innovative, flexible and highly engaged in building a solid foundation for their respective businesses."

After more than a year of record breaking job losses and market volatility, companies are finally ready to begin rehiring in 2021 and workers are more than willing to get back on their feet. Employment has yet to reach its pre-pandemic numbers, but in a sign of good faith, non-farm payroll employment — workers in the U.S. excluding farm workers — increased by 916,000 in March, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In order to attract new talent and retain current employees, more and more companies have adapted their benefits packages to include wellness-centric offerings, such as caregiving options for working mothers and more approved time off. These efforts have led many companies to rank highly among employees, according to Nazar.

“The number one thing that has positively impacted the employee experience is having flexibility around where and how they work,” Nazar says. “Companies need to be more open to new models that aren't just the traditional 9-5 in one office location.”
