eBenefits launches cloud-based platform for HR pros

UPMC’s eBenefits announced the launch of a new cloud-based platform during this week’s Society for Human Resource Management Conference in Chicago.

The new platform, designed by and for human resource professionals, seeks to make benefits management easier for HR leaders as well as the employees they support. It is intended for companies with 750 to 10,000 workers.

Company president Kismet Toksu says eBenefits delivers easy-to-use communication that drives engagement among employees and administrators. The fully integrated platform, he says, delivers solutions for benefits administration, private exchanges and ACA compliance reporting.

“The new platform delivers a modern, intuitive and HR-inspired capability that helps our clients achieve their strategic goals while meeting the needs of a changing, diverse and multigenerational workforce,” Toksu says. “For employees, eBenefits’ consumer-friendly, mobile-enabled experience provides personalized and supportive interactions that simplify important benefits decisions and positive engagement with HR.”

The cloud-based version of eBenefits, Toksu says, was created to support the changing needs of HR professionals.

“Some examples [of desired functionality] we have heard from our customers include: simplifying the complexities that surround benefits administration for HR and employees; engaging a multigenerational, mobile workforce; better managing human capital; and providing a modern experience equal to the best of consumer experiences and that reflects the employer’s culture,” she says.

Toksu saysthe employee experience is optimized for use on any type of device, including phone, tablet and laptop. Creation of a mobile app is on the horizon. The price of the cloud-based platform has not been released; however, Toksu says, it is competitively priced for the marketplace.
