SourceMedia, the publisher of Employee Benefit News, has acquired Insurance Broadcasting, a provider of online news and live events to employee benefits professionals.
The acquisition was announced on Feb. 2.
Insurance Broadcasting founder and CEO Walt Podgurski will continue as an executive with SourceMedia. Podgurski will provide direction for Insurance Broadcasting’s offerings as they are integrated into the SourceMedia family of employee benefit products.
With the acquisition, SourceMedia adds 184,000 professionals to the benefits community it serves through EBN and its sister publication Employee Benefit Adviser, their websites and online resources, and two annual conferences: the Benefits Forum & Expo and Employee Benefit Adviser Summit.
