Paychex is making the return to work safer with vaccine tracking technology

Amidst all of the vaccine mandates, payroll service company PayChex is making the return to work as organized and safe as possible for employers.

The platform recently added a functionality to its existing Paychex Flex platform to help businesses track the vaccine status of their employees, according to a press release. Employers can now send notifications to employees requesting that they upload documentation to confirm their vaccination status — immunized employees can upload a digital copy of their vaccination card, while unvaccinated employees can upload ongoing COVID-19 test results.

“We continue to develop new and innovative solutions that help our customers balance the need to prioritize employee health and safety with the unique business challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Tom Hammond, Paychex vice president of corporate strategy and product management, said in the press release.

The vaccine rollout has enabled more and more employees to return to the office, but requiring vaccination cards doesn’t mean the threat of COVID is gone — or that employers should let their guard down.

Other Paychex solutions currently available include daily health and symptom tracking, COVID-19 leave tracking and a COVID-19 screening, where employers can initiate employee COVID-19 testing and track test results within a single platform.

“Enabling employers to manage vaccination status tracking digitally is the latest example of our unwavering commitment to working proactively on behalf of our customers,” Hammond says. “So they are prepared to meet new and developing regulations.”
