Dow Jones & Co. announced this week that it has launched an employee resource group for its LGBT workers.
The group aims to “foster conversation and feedback on Dow Jones coverage of LGBTQ issues; encourage recruitment, mentoring and advancement of LGBTQ employees; host panels, volunteer programs and gatherings at offices across the company; represent Dow Jones at conferences and events; communicate with the company on policies that affect LGBTQ employees; [and] promote an inclusive and diverse workplace,” according to the internal memo.
